I helped a friend to restore his HP PC by using f10 key while the logo was display as his computer was not booting the OS. My friend was very graceful and happy with his PC working again as new. I am greatly enjoying the course on PC hardware and maintenance and all the on online lessons which I find very informative and would recommend people to go to the online talks which are helping me along through the course. After a lengthy illness I am quickly getting back on track with my studies, after just 5 weeks back in the flow of studying I am already passing at the rate of more than one module a week. Being able to help others with computer problems they were facing as well as achieving very good marks in my first three tutor marked assignments. I have gained alot of information on the workings of computors and have built a freind a desktop pc,fitted all components and istalled windows xp and it is running fine. Well, 1st assignment achieved a result of 80%, but my second for which I studied studiosly gained 97% which I hope to maintain! Lets hope the next submission gets me 100%. Happy days. Not only have I worked very hard on this course, I am also doing my ecdl also It is not too much left for me to finish A+, and I am very proud of myself, I thought it will be much more difficult, but I realised, that study material is quite easy understandable. I think I am going very well, my marks are about 95 %. I am a bit scared about examination, but I hope everything will go well. Holding down two jobs while I help look after my ill dad and my brothers 3 year old daughter and doing most of the shopping and cleaning, within a tight budget and still getting my TMAs in good time for a better future for us all. Not sure what to say really but I just received my first TMA back and scored 100%. I started to study the first module and thought.....what have I got myself into !!! I never thought I'd get that good a score considering I have such a busy life. I had studied when I could, in betwen working full time, my partner working full time and keeping my 7 month old happy too!! They had also changed my role at work and I had to get to grips with all that too.... COMPLETED FOLDER 1 OF THE COMPTIA COURSE IN AMATTER OF 2 WEEKS WITHOUT THE NEED FOR EXTRA HELP WITH A GOOD AVERAGE PASS RATE BETWEEN 80 - 100 % HAVING SUFFERED THE LAST 6 WEEKS WITH A LEG INFECTION CALLED CELLULITUS AND NT BEEN ABLE TO DO MUCH ITS A GOOD JOB I HAVE THE USE OF A LAPTOP . ON THE MEND NOW AND LOOKING FORWARD TO RECEIVING MY NEXT SET OF COURSE NOTES WITH MUCH ENTHUSIASM. Using the skills I have been Learning on this course, I have managed to fix a friends computer that would not work, or recognise HD drives, by using what I had learnt and reconfiguring his BIOS. Finished A+ part of my course and only 3 TMAs away from finishing N+ then to start the Cisco training. This is all done as well as holding down a full time job and in a busy family environment.
