I WAS BUSY THE LAST TWO MONTH OF MY ADDITIONAL STUDY AND WORK. NOW I START AGAIN AND OBTAIN 100% MARKS IN MY LAST TWO TMA. I've passed 6 TMAs sent a 7th one of and have an 8th nearly ready to be sent as well. With working as a chef I'm doing 9 days on before a get a couple of, days off and have found it hard to do homework but have managed to get some done. This was an excellent lesson It was very good and clearly explained I have learned something new! Thanks. I HAVE ACHIEVED QUITE A GOOD RESULTS FOR THE COURSE SO FAR. MY FRIST ASSIGNMENT I HAD 100% RESULTS AND REST BEING 90%,85% 90% ETC. I AM MARRIAGED AND WORK FULL TIME. I DON'T DRIVE BUT TAKE PUBLC TRANSPORT TO WORK. THE ONLY CHANCE I GET TO STUDY IS WHEN I AM GOING TO WORK ON THE BUS. EVEN WITH INCONVENIENCES CAUSED, I HAVE BEEN GETTING FAIRLY GOOD RESULTS. Found this very usefull. I have not had much to do with MS DOS in the past but now have a basic understanding of the commands used. I will be looking to attend the more advance trainning should one become available. Since starting the course I have changed jobs and I am now a bus driver, in the last 5 months I have had to learn 34 bus routes and change my lifestyle to shift work after haveing a 9-5 job for 23years. In July 2006, I separated from my wife and had to give up work to look after my two children. They both still live with me full-time, and as you can imagine, life isn't easy bringing up two young children single-handed. As I left school with no qualifications, there isn't really that many options for me workwise at the moment to earn enough to pay for childcare and still have money for bills etc. at the end of the month. In September last year, I decided that it would be better for me to spend my free time studying to gain qualifications so I could get a better job in the future once the kids have got a bit older. I decided that I would like to work with computers and looked for courses that would help me gain the relevant qualifications. I decided that I liked the idea of the PC engineering course that Skillstrain were offering and signed up for it in September last year. Since I started the course, I have had one setback, where I had to restart the course again from scratch with the new 2006 objectives, as I knew that I wouldn't be able to complete the old 2003 objectives and be ready to take the exam by the end of June 2007. Although it is hard for me find time to devote to studying, through what I have learnt up to now, I have been able to fix problems with my own PC, which I would never had been able to do if I had not been doing the course. Hopefully when I have finished the course, and pass the exams, then I will be ready to start looking for work again, and be able to get a worthwhile job, not something pointless like a trolley collector at Sainsbury's, or a shelf stacker at Tesco's. I'm just looking forward to gaining the qualifications and being able to get back to work and be able to provide for my children again. I have volunteered to work 6 days a week in a store which provides computer services. The skills training has helped me to understand the subject much better and the voluntary post has provided me the good experience and confidence in fixing the computer problems. By also managing the work life balance, I have been able to score well in the Tutor Marked Assignments. My course is going very well the tutor team couldn't help me more they stayed on the phone with me for half an hour while I tried to log in and they were very patient indeed ,cheers. I nearly got 100% in tutor marked assignment I will aim for that on the next test. Being able to get back into training. Being dyslexic, it has given me something to prove and to be able to compete at a high level. It was useful to hear everything in another words and would be nice to be able to ask a question during session. First LIT I've attended, was contacted prior to the start time to make sure everything was ok which was nice. The tutor made it easy to listen and kept to the key points without flooding the session, was very impressed and shall attend more. Many Thanks
