Finally settling down after relocation and adhereing to my study plan. Managing to still continue with my course at a reasonable pace even though I am currently changing job to try and increase my health. I have not been well recently and even have to go to hospital tomorrow so managed to complet a TMA today and hope to be getting more study done during my stay in hospital. I am finding this course to be of great depth but also put to me so it is as easy as it can be to understand. Thank you I do a lot of hours at work everyday, and I am getting on well with the course. It is diffcult to sit down and read after the days work, but I am ok. l do live alone and it is not easy but I am managing well. SINCE I HAVE STRATED THIS COURSE I HAVE LEARNT SO MUCH MORE THAN I ALREADY NEW THE BASICS OF HOW TO BUILD A PC BUT ACTUALLY WHAT WHERE AND HOW TO FIX PROBLEM OR FAULTS USING THE KNOLEDGE I HAVE LEARNT. I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO USE THIS TO HELP MANY OF MY FRIENDS WITH THERE PC EQUIPMENT IF THEY HAVE PROBLEM, WHETHER OVER THE PHONE OR ACTUAL HANDS ON OR VIA REMOTE CONNECTION. I DO THIS WHILE LOOKING FOR WORK IN THE IT FEILD, LOOKING AFTER MY FAMILY 11YR OLD 1 TOLDER AND 4 MONTH OLD WHO IS MY ISPIRATION. CONSIDERING THAT 6 YEARS AGO I WAS ON THE STREETS HOMELESS WITH NO HOPE OF A FUTURE TO NOW TAKING THIS COURSE FOR ME IS A MIRRALCE AND I ACTUALLY ENJOY THE STUDYING INVOLVED INIT. PS ILOVE HELPING PEOPLE WITH THERE PCS WITH MY NEWLY GAINED KNOLEDGE FROM DOING THIS COURSE IT GREAT. I was never a very good listener at school, always found myself distracted, and up until I moved to bristol, not much had changed. I'd been living at home with my mum for 23 years and had sunken into an easy life. I then met my girlfriend on the internet, and after a year of seeing each other at weekends, I moved house. Since then I feel I've really tried to progress my life, not only emotionally, but educationally as well. I've really got into doing my A+ and N+ course and am really enjoying it. Finally I have found something that has held my interest, and will hopefully bring in some decent money to help support my girlfriend and her daughter, who I am living with. My life has had some ups and downs, especially with my father dieing at the young age of 49 from cancer. So now, I feel as though I'm going some way towards bettering myself while he looks down from above. This is a happy moment in my life, and this course is definately helping to achieve my goal. I am 48 years old and it's a long time since I was at school, so I thought I would do something to keep my brain active, so I joined skills train. It keeps me active and I am learning a new career I would recommend it to anyone. I am on TMA31a and my results average 80-100%; don't be disheartened at the beginning if you find it hard, you just have to persevere and carry on. Taking the course was the best decision I made, I have learnt so much from the course, and if you are stuck on a problem, it really is worth asking for assistance. Good luck to all students! WELL TO TELL YOU THE TRUTH AT ONE STAGE MY MORALE CAME TO A STAND STILL WITH THE STRIKES YES I'M A POSTMAN I HAD STOPPED STUDYING BUT WHAT GOT ME BACK IS THE COURSE AND HOPING THAT ONE DAY I COULD START A NEW LIFE AND THAT I THANK YOU, PS THANKS FOR REMEMBERING MY BIRTHDAY THAT HELPED ASWELL I have so far passed all the network assignments that I have taken and at work yesterday I managed to fix the shops telephones and got the shops chip and pin machine sending data again. It was tricky given the ancient software, at least it got the District Manager out of the shop so she would stop rebooting my till! 2007 was the hardest time for me, in my whole life. In January my Dad died and month after I was moving home. My thoughts and my feelings of the lost of some one closed to my heart made me sank. There was no chance for me to do any studying as there was time for me deal with so important issues as family and home; and I could not failed on that. Now I am back to what I have so much wanted, it is the studying. Sometimes, Still it happens , that my tears roll on my cheeks but looking into the future and being one day the great help for others puts my spirit up and helps me to carry on with my studying. In the last month I have successfully completed my ECDL, alongside studying towards gaining comptia A+, I have now completed TMA03, this for me is very self rewarding, I can NOW help my Daughter with her computer problems without too many hickups, this is all thanks to the training & help that I have found invaluable and look forward to continuing my studying. I continued with the course content with the added pressure of a new job and two new babies!!! Life is tough!!! I have found much of the information in this course completely mind-blowing so my learning curve has been huge!!! However, last month I was able to identify that my manager's computer had suffered a terminal error (blue screen plus a message saying preparing to dump hard drive data!! not too difficult I know but rather satisfying to know I had got it right!). I am doing this course whilst working full time and trying to organise two children, one of which is trying to get into the GB squad for slalom canoeing and combining study with plenty of training and driving is interesting. I am determined to complete this course as I have worked in the Health Service all my life and feel that this is one of my few options for changing my life and having some choice in what I do and when I do it. Unfortunately I am unwell at the moment and having to take time off work - first time in my life apart from maternity leave so this is a new experience and not a pleasant one. Continuing to study when I can and get nearer to changing my life and that of my family for the better.
