I think I deserve a mention this month, as my daughter got married on the 12th of October, and we moved house on the 26th and I still managed to submit TMA13 in N+ is that stress and trauma or what? From knowing very little about pc repair in my view I have managed to pass every tma that I have submited to date. This is mainly thanks to the teaching methods used like powerpoint and the book being fairly clear. But I have also suprised myself with what I already knew(if not the tech terms)and the rate that I have been able to digest information so far.I know it will get a lot harder but what I have learnt so far will only help me in the future. I have successfully passed my N+ exam just 6 months with the Skillstrain I work hard (4 to 5 hours a day) to keep my TMA notes always between 90 and 100 percent. Actually I am going to connect 2 PC via a 802.11(wireless) for my LABs and exercices (my pingings and tracings) for a good understanding of the Open System Interconnection' Layers. Finally I have moved ahead with my study and I submitted 2 TMAs in one week with score of 100%. I have full time job and apart from that a thousand things to do and it was very difficult to organize time for education purpose. I decided then I will study in every free time I have available (on tube, lunch break etc.) and I do so and hope to keep going. In the mid time I have fixed microphone problem for one of my mates. Basically WinXP couldn't see mic and my mate was unable to use it over the Skype. Quick look in the Device Manager and could see that Realtek Device Driver was broken. It May be hard but I have acheived something and undertand the workings of a computer better now than I ever did before. I consider it a great personal achievment that I have been able to juggle working a 3-shift rotation(mornings, afternoons and nights)as well as weekend work, somtimes doing a seven day week and still completing my course work to a high standard. Throw in a football mad 3 year old son and you know ive got my work cut out! I have just started the N+ course and I have achieved good results in my first two TMA's. I feel this is a good achievement as I have had a busy year. I passed my A+ exams earlier in the year then I got married on September 8th. During this time I found it difficult to study as I was so busy but now I am studying hard again and this shows with my first two TMA scores for the N+ (which is not an easy course!). Despite the recent death of a grandparent and the upset that comes with it, my family and close friends have encouraged me to carry on my studies towards my network+ certification, and I have produced a row of good tma results, and I am now revising for the exam. After several false starts and a year of redundancy, learning a new job, family bereavement and a close family member being found to be in need of kidney transplant I have finally managed to get my course up and running. JOINING SKILLSTRAIN IS AN ACHIEVEMENT,AND PASSING ALL EXAMS WITH HIGH GRADES WOULD BE A SUCCESSFUL AND GREAT ACHIEVEMENTS FOR ME, SO,FINGERS CROSSED THAT THE BRAIN UNDERSTANDS WHAT THE EYES SEE... I have just recieved my results for my first TMA and recieved 100% which I was surprised at and I am ready for submitting my second so fingers crossed.
