I have had to move house,changed jobs and all these unsettled me, but I still remain determined to go ahead with my course. It is always on my mind daily.

Got 100% in first tutor marked assignment plan on sending in an assignment every week. Also did a ten week mentoring course in 4 days and passed that course as well.

This month so far I've achieved the goal of finishing my first part of course and submitted 6 TMA's, this is a massive achievement for me because I work shifts and find it difficult to sometimes settle after work and get any work done on this course material. I'm happy I've managed to do this, and I find it satisfying to have done so much I know I can do it when I put my mind to it.

I hope to be able to do the same for the next part of my course at least.

I can't believe the incredible results of my last revision supplement of my TMA19A at section 1. When I received the question and read through, I tell myself waoo, some of them were though. But I did my best to convince my Tutor Team that I'm determined to be a PC Hardware Engineer as soon as possible. At last when I received the result it was amazing. Thanks for your support.

I believe after the achievement of finishing 7 TMA's and passing them all and submitting an 8th is massive for me, I have been working many night shifts and have still managed to study in between and I have pressed hard to complete as much as possible in the month of August and I will try just as hard for the month of September.

Hi I would like to express my Gratitude to the our team from Skills Train as when I was doing my TMA assignments I was having a few problems on certain parts of the course, I submitted one of my assignments which I received a low mark for, which was helpful for me because I had the Opportunity to revise and ask a few people on helping me understand and with the feedback I had from my tutor I was able to submit the same assignment up to a better mark after 3 attempts which I can only say is an improvement and since then I have been studying harder to try to achieve my goal. I got a 100% on my last assignment which I have only ever received once before I know I am leading in the right direction I just hope that with help of my tutor and other people I can achieve better marks through the rest of my learning program.

Its so hard Working and studying and I have fallen behind in my course a lot. which is sad because I have a target goal for completing it. My achievements for this month is trying to find as much time as possible to study and catch up, how do I do it?, I have access to a computer at work and I use my lunch and break to access course materials online and study in the little time periods that I get. I think if I continue to do this I will catch up on lost time.

Hi There,

I would like to explain what I have achieved so far,

I am currently working as a full time freelance technical manager in the AV field which unfortunately makes it very hard to get to study and to also keep a home which I own and in the hard times of the credit crunch!.

I as many others are are struggling to pay the bills which means that I have to works extra shifts on weekends and evenings unfortunately meaning I have limited time to do my studies!!!! this is only the second time I have had a chance to enter this as time on the net is limited to when I get to a friends house or the library.

I am now applying for the A+ Final exam which makes myself and my parents proud, unfortunately around 6 months behind the schedule I would have like to do it in but then again I cannot afford to lose my home.

Completing all 11 Tutor Marked Assignments before my tutor contacted me, staying motivated throughout and feeling like most of it has really sunk in. I'm particularly pleased with myself because throughout the rest of my educational career my report cards have read "coasting", "could do better" etc and finally I feel like I'm actually trying my best at something. Thank you Skills Train!

I first started this course with so much enthusiasm and a week after I discover I was really struggling to cope with the pressure of having to combine studies and work. But having studied the materials given to me, I realised it was quite easy to understand, I now find it very easy to pick up manual everyday and on my way to work. its very handy and I also read anywhere.

I have being able to understand how RAM operates and how it relates with the CPU (processor). although I have being fixing computers for years now but I never understood the role a ram plays in the overall picture.

I also understand better now that power supply units are very crucial as part of the component of the PC.

I have never heard of Power good before until I read my manual and not long before I heard about power good , I went to a friend's place to fix his computer which was not booting. I spent all day trying to find out why the boot process takes about 30mins. I eventually changed the PSU and the system booted fine. so I knew something was wrong with the PSU and I could not explain.
Now I understand why my friends computer would not boot. it was obviously due to a problem with the PWR_OK wire that feeds the motherboard.

I am so happy that I have understood so much I just under 2 months.

Although I am reasonably new to studying, after leaving school 15-20 years ago I find I have become used to the schedule of going to work until 6 am looking after my 4 month old daughter until my wife returns from her work and studying in the morning whilst baby sitting. Although its difficult, I find that the future is going to be better for my daughter once I graduate from this extensive course.

I feel that over the last few weeks I have done remarkably well in my studies, considering my wife has just had a baby a few weeks ago and I started a new role in my current job and with the time that I have had to try and fit in study time I am really pleased with my efforts and consistency in my assignment results. e.g. my last assignment I scored 85% which I am so pleased with considering the time that I have had to take everything in.
