Hiya, in the last two tma`s I scored two 100% of which I am really pleased, this is a first for me since 1973 when I scored 100 in Latin -- of all subjects!!-- not much use to me now. well I was thinking to myself how can learn more, get a hands on feel, so I when out and bought a second hand pc and stripped it out and layed it out flat and labelled all the components such as northbridge, southbridge, cmos battery. different connection types wiring etc.;
and I have found this absolutely invaluable help, because now when reading through my tma's I can look directly at what is being described to me and really seem to be actually understanding the whole concept much more easily.
I cannot really get out of the house much as I have four beautiful grandchildren close to me so I couldn't go anywhere to get the hands on feel that I wanted so I came up with this idea of buying one and stripping it down, im all pleased with myself, thanks for reading, adios!

When I submitted my first attempt at TMA 1, I was very surprised to have achieved 80% as I didn't think that I would get a mark as high as this for my first attempt. I'm also grateful to the Skillstrain staff for going over the questions I got wrong as this points out the areas I need to concentrate on more.

As a nightshift manager for a well know retail chain "Morrisons"

It is difficult to study and keep a regular schedule of revision, I did fall back a little when I recieved a mark of 87% in tma 8 of my network+ part A.

I do not like falling behind and with my recent move further north to the Aberdeenshire area it`s been difficult to get back into a routine especially when you work nearly 60 hours a week, getting time and necessary sleep to complete any TMA and attend your job. This can take its toll on your enthusiasm and enjoyment of the course.
However, as my mum always says "grin and bare it as it will always come good in the end" !!
Any potential student should always think where this will lead them and the rewards that come as a result.
thanks for reading

The last time I sat for an exam/test/assignment was ages ago and was really sceptical about doing this programme. I actually told my wife that I intended to cancel this programme before my account gets debited but she was able to talk some sense into me. I have just received my result for the 1st assignment and that has motivated me to pursue the programme.

"I am loving it". I work for city links, I use to pack the cages with packages for other citys and towns. Now I am working with their "CLAN" finding address, confirming delivers, and keeping track of parcels through hand held computers.

I was finally able to complete and submitted my second TMA, despite of not getting enough sleep since I've got a 7 month old baby who gets up at least twice during the night for her feed and to play. I also have a 9 years old who I have to find activities for since she is out of school. I'm hoping to submit assignments 3 and 4 also in this month.

Have been working really hard on my assignments whilst working in a job and have been doing one section a day, and am getting high marks on the work I have done so far, have fixed friends computers, been teaching my dad how to use a computer and feel I have learnt lots of new things and look forward to the next part of the course.
