This month has been brilliant for me. I have just got a brilliant new job in Vodafone as a Customer service representitive. I tried for this job last year but I got rejected because I didnt not have any skills or experience. This year I gained the confidence to go again this time I showed them the A+ N+ course I am doing and they were very much impressed and told me that I got the job straight away and I start next month. I left university with a degree which had no real career path and left me unemployed for several months resulting in depression with no real idea of what I wanted to do ith my life. I saw an advert on the internet for IT training through skills train and decided this May be the way to go. Since I have started the A+ training in January 2007 I had no prior knowledge of hardware components or how to build a PC. However by fantastic support and advice from my tutors and the study materials I have been able to gain a better understanding. This has enabled me to fix my old PC back together by attaching additional memory cards and up-to-date components to the PC, in order for it to work faster and more efficiently. Therefore in the future I can apply my knowledge gained throughout this hardware course to real life situations and it will definately benefit my future IT career aspirations. After studying the A+ part of the course, I passed CompTIA's A+ Certification 1st attempt, this was quite an achievement for me having previously had only a very rudimentary grasp of the inner workings of the PC. Subsequently I began studying the N+ course material, it was considerably harder than the A+ material for me as I really had no clues regarding networking, other than being able to set up a simple network at home to share the internet connection between 2 machines. Since I started my course with Scheidegger I have had many achievements, including passing both the CompTIA A Plus and Network Plus examinations over the course of 2006 and managing my time efficiently, enabling me to study at least 20 hours a week and work fulltime. Hi there, my name is Rahat Ali. I am a new student at skills train, studying the MSCA programe. When I first started the programe, I found that I was extremly unfamiliar with the type of eperience I had in my past career of studies. I chose the training programe so that I could enter a different type of working environment and improve my prospects for the future. I do believe that I did not have as much self esteem in myself when I first started. After going through my assignments and studying hard, my esteem grew and made me much confident on taking on the whole course. Today I am so glad that I did not break down to giving up on this course. After submitting only 2 TMA's I achieved an excellent result of 93% on both. I was extreremly pleased with the outcome which boosted me further in to the course. The more time I spent studying, the more I found that I finally found something which I enjoy doing, something which I was searching for years. I realise that my results May not be as good in my coming assignments, but I have full confidence that I can make it to the top! Thanks ever so much team. I feel my biggest achievement was taking the decision to enroll on the course. At the age of 53 the prospect of changing careers was daunting. After listening to your representative and finally deciding that you are never to old to learn I believe that I have made one of the most important decisions of my life. I would like to enter for student of the month as I think that for a forty something year old to start studying again after 20 odd years is good going. Particularly as it is something completely new to him. I am proof that you can teach an old dog new tricks!! Over the last month I have been achieving very good marks in my TMA's, so much so that I had the confidence to go into my local computer shop and ask if he would take me on in my time of work.(I work 3 weeks on, 3 week off in the offshore industry as a chef) To assist him in fixing, maintaining and upgrading customers systems. After hearing about my grades and the knowledge I have gained from doing my A+ course, Bob the owner was very happy to take me on. Since passing the A+ I have gained a position within an IT department as first line support. My acheivments and skills within this position has been increased over the past month with the aid of the N+, it has given me a better understanding and wider knowledge base to aid users. I have recently been given a raise and this can be acredited to the hard work and extra research I have been completing around the current course material. Over the last few weeks I have taken on some extra work helping people with common PC problems (clearing viruses, connecting home Wire less networks, etc) I'm have just got a new better I.T job because prospective employers favour applicants who are studying with qualifications because they see an individual who is committed and ambitious. I think that fact that I am busy studying for my CCIE and MCSE helped me alot in gaining this new employment. I recently become A+ cerified by passing both the Core Hardware and OS exams and I have to say this has give me a huge morale boost I was a bit worried about the exam just wondering if I would pass or not so if there is anyone out there who May feels the same as I did then this is for you, keep a cool head about your self on the big day. I was working as a waiter at a Nepalese Restaurant, but I am not working there anymore, in fact I am working at an Electronics Company as a Technical Sales Advisor. It has been two weeks since I had started my new job and I’m doing great as well. I can’t believe it myself honestly. I went to the company and submitted my CV. I got a phone call for the interview and then got the job. I think they were totally impressed with the course that I am undertaking at Skillstrain which I had explained in my CV. That was the only things that worked for me to get that job......really what a difference it made to my life..........I am really happy about it.....and can't stop thinking what a difference it would make if I had completed the whole course of studies. Believe me I am feeling at the top ...feeling so good from inside ....if this is not achievement then what is this......I am very much thankful to my college for this change ...I think I can see my destiny now. I am feeling differently. Sincere thanks to my college.it.....and can't stop thinking what difference it would make if I had completed the whole course of studies.Believe me I am feeling at the top ...feeling so good from inside ....if this is not achievement then what is this......I am very much thankful to my college for this change ...I think I can see my destiny now. I am feeling myself in a different way. Sincere thanks to my college.
