I have just completed, successfully, the A+ content of my couse and have applied to take the public exam. At the age of 55 and having suffered 3 strokes, it has, to say the least been a challenge. It has, however, been very rewarding. I have become a volunteer home visitor for the RNIB, helping clients with their computer problems, at the same time gaining what I hope is invaluable practical experience. Since I started the Skill train course, I have successfully managed to complete Comptia Net+ course and Examination, although I have been under lot of pressure in my normal work with dead line to meet and taking site visit. At moment I am now also working toward ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualification Board) foundation examination and carrying on with my CCNA course. Hence for me it is all the way up hill doing my normal work and keeping my course work on target and learning new things. I started Network+ with Skills Train and I have had tremendous result. I did not know anything about N+, but now I can design network infrastructure, connect more than 50 PC to communicate with each other. I can configure RAP and many more network Protocols. Thanks to the Skillful trained Tutors of the Skills Train. I am now on the CCNA course with the SKILLS TRAIN. I have been messing about ( yes messing is the right word for me) with computers for quite afew years now without ever really getting into them properly I found the first lesson to be very enlightening and the second which I have completed helped me understand an e-mail problem I have been having but now fixed THANKS ENTIRELY TO YOUR BRIL COURSE and this is just the beginning THANK YOU!!!!! The last couple of months have been particularly difficult for studying as my father has been ill in hospital after his lung collapsed. Although this is not the first time this has happened ,on this occasion he had severe complications and was transferred between two hospitals after his condition deteriorated. Travelling to visit him and also to help my mother whilst he was in hospital took up a lot of time but with the family's encouragement I managed to continue with my studies and maintained my 90 - 100 % result record. Dad is now on the way to a good recovery for which we are all very grateful. YESTERDAY (09/05/07) I WROTE MY COMPTIA N+ (N10-003) WHICH I PASSED. I AM VERY EXCITED AND MORE MOTIVATED THAN BEFORE, AND LOOKING FORWARD TO THE DAY I WILL BE SITTING MY CCNA EXAM. I AM VERY GREATFUL TO ALL THE NUMBERS OF THE TUTORIAL TEAM. WITHOUT YOUR ASSISTANCE I THINK I WOULD HAVE STRUNGLED. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK YOU ARE DOING. I would like to be voted because I feel that this is a massive step in my life to take I am 40 years old married with 3 kids I have no qualifications and a very limited knowlegde of computers. I also work 60 hours a week on nights and its really hard to get the motivation to complete my course and my only motivation is my family I'm doing it for them as much as me. also my first tma I sent in I only got a 60% mark which hurt but with the support of aminna I re submitted for the second time and got 100% and thats really got me going. I cant wait for the rest of the course. I have excelled in all of my TMA's so far, (nothing lower than a 90% mark) and I am determined to complete my course work by the end of summer. Thanks to my studies I have been able to help my other family members setup a secure wireless network. My inspiration has been my beautiful daughter who is now 4 months old. I am working towards being able to support my family in a career as a Network Administrator. I was first attracted to your courses, because of the flexibilty of being able to study around my commitments. Having like most people a very busy and quite often hectic life. I have been studying for some time and have received quite good marks throughout the course. The work is sometimes quite taxing, but always rewarding knowing that you have gained a little bit more of that knowledge you require. When I first started the course I was a sort of "can i" person, however as I have progressed through the course I have seen my self confidence grow and now feel that I have gone from this "can i" person to a "I can do"person. I have worked in a manufacturing enviroment all of my working life, but felt that I wanted more out of my working career, I was prepared to search for this career elsewhere if necessary. However recently a position became availiable in my company. This position was a salaried and staff rated position.I applied for for position and recently attended an interview which I admit was quite nerve racking, but with my confidence high answered all ther questions as best as I could . Well I am pleased to be able to say that I was succesful, and start my new career with my own office etc after the bank holiday. I am positive that starting and studying on this course has helped me and boosted my self confidence alot and am looking forward to my new career and it challenges. I have recently started the course and am well on the way to sending my TMA 02. I was recently made unemployed and paying for the course looked like it wouldnt happen. I was still studying the course and it was extremely difficult as I was being pressured by my bank regarding mortgage repayments. I have found new employment and am hard at the studying, already I have learned a heck of a lot and its all thanks to joining you!!! As a student of skillstrain you don't really know what you made up of until you are confronted with challenges. I am working full employment with T-Mobile(UK) Greenock as a Business Advisor and been doing this job for 6 years now and am doing good achievement in the fqac of adversity. I do work under pressure but I still manage to continue with the course work and I have been working 1 step ahead in completeing the course and I use the Student website mor often now but I am still enjoying this. I am hoping to move up in employment and I have put my application in for TDMS (Technical Data and Multimedia Support) within my work place and have submitted my CV to also include this course that I am doing which looks good for viewing and I will do my best in getting that job and I will keep up on this course that I am doing. I had to leave my home and family and move back to England with my 2 year old son where we had to start from scratch. I had no formal qualifications in IT but with self taught experience I enrolled with skillstrain and started to turn things around, I am now powering my way though my A+ juggling life as a single parent and hoping to start work in an IT field within the next few months. Thank you skillstrain!
